Use this area to schedule an in-studio makeup preview appointment by selecting your desired date & time.

A non-refundable retainer is required for all services. If this was included in your quote, and your wedding was booked with this included, a coupon code will be sent to prevent double billing.

There’s a 15 minute grace period if you are running late. Any time thereafter, your appointment will be cancelled and would need rescheduled.

  • In-Studio & On-Location Appointments (Non-Wedding)

    • Booking Appointments: A non-refundable retainer is required to book all services. When submitting a 50% retainer, the remaining balance is to be paid before departing.

    • Arriving Early & Late: Arriving early will not expedite your scheduled appointment time. So please wait in the car or lobby until the exact scheduled time. There’s a 15-minute grace period when running late. Any time thereafter, your appointment will be cancelled and a coupon code (in the amount paid) will be sent allowing you to reschedule.

    For on-location appointments, upon artist waiting 15 minutes on a client to arrive, the appointment is immediately cancelled and the client forfeits any and all monies paid.

    Our clients’ time is respected and strive always to stick to our schedule.

    • Re-Scheduling: Appointments can be re-scheduled allowing the retainer to be transferred to a new date. If the re-scheduled date/time is not provided to us or not available, an electronic gift card (coupon code) will be administered to be used when ready. Gift cards do not expire and can be used on our website for appointments, classes, merch and products (except skincare).

    • Early Morning & After-Hours Fees: An additional $25 applies for all appointments before 9am and after 7:30pm. Except for those in our "Glam & Go" membership program.

    • Urgent Appointments Fee: Last minute situations may arise and the need in making an appointment at the last minute can't be unavoidable and we understand the urgency. When booking 8 hours or less notice (especially for something on the same day) a $35 fee applies.

    • Cancellation & No-Shows: A fee of $50 applies to cancellations done 24 hours or less of the scheduled appointment time that is not immediately re-scheduled. No-shows included.

    • Mileage & Travel (On-Location Appointments): For mobile services, we will come to your location of choice. Traveling to locations within the Cincinnati area is complimentary. When traveling 20 miles or more outside of the Cincinnati, OH 45237 area, a mileage fee of $0.60 per mile round-trip will be applied. When traveling 20 miles or more outside of the 45214 area, travel accommodations will be at client's expense (travel, flight, hotel, parking, etc.)

    • Using New Products: If there’s a specific brand/product (foundation, blush, eye shadow, lip stick, false eyelashes, etc.) that you love, wear regularly and require to be used due to skin sensitivity, please give a 48 hours' notice before your appointment to allow Chenese Bean Makeup Artistry to purchase new items locally. 14 days advance notice when having to purchase products online.

    • Cell Phones: Please refrain from cell phone use once makeup application begins.

    • Bringing Extra Guests: Any and all guests brought to an In-Studio appointment will be asked to wait in the lobby.

    • Brow Waxing/Threading: For a clean & complete overall makeup look, it's imperative to get your brows done 1-3 days in advance. Contact us if you need referrals.

    • Skin Allergies: If you have sensitive skin or allergies, please inform ahead of time a list of products and/or ingredients that could cause a reaction. Must be provided 48 hours before the appointment.

    Chenese Bean Makeup Artistry is not be held responsible in the event of any allergic reactions and/or breakouts as a result of services. It is the client's responsibility to inform Chenese Bean Makeup Artistry beforehand of any known allergies. And decision to proceed with services.

    All skin conditions should be reported by the client to Chenese Bean Makeup Artistry before makeup application begins and, if need be, a sample test of makeup may be performed on the skin to test reaction. 

    • Liability & Cleanliness: All brushes and makeup products are kept sanitary and are sanitized between every makeup application. Any skin condition should be reported by the client to the makeup artist prior to application. Client agrees to release Chenese Bean Makeup Artistry from liability for any skin complications due to allergic reaction. It is the responsibility of each client to indicate to the makeup artist any products that may cause the client to have an allergic reaction. The client must provide a list of products that must be used. Sanitization Certification

    • Health & Safety: Do not arrive if you are feeling ill, coughing, fever, respiratory, flu or flu-like symptoms, shortness of breath or sore throat. Diagnosed with coronavirus (COVID-19) or symptoms. Or if you’ve been around anyone who has, please quarantine yourself for 2 weeks and make your appointment thereafter.

    • Force Majeure. Rescheduling & Cancellations (COVID):

    - Rescheduling: In the event that your appointment or event must be rescheduled due to a force majeure event, all monies paid will be transferred to the new rescheduled date (if Chenese Bean Makeup Artistry is available). If we are not available on the new date, any outstanding balance (with the exception of the non-refundable retainer) will be waived.

    - Cancellations: If your appointment or event is cancelled due to a force majeure event all monies paid will not be refunded per our normal policy. And the outstanding balance will be waived. A gift card in the amount of the retainer may be submitted that could be used at a later date but must be discussed to determine. Force Majeure Clause

    • Right to Refuse Service: If the makeup artist feels uncomfortable, threatened, disrespected, sexually harassed or verbally abused in any way, she will have the right to cancel the appointment immediately without completing services. If the artist feels that the client has open facial wounds or skin condition that could be infected or unsanitary, she has the right to refuse service to that client. We reserve the right to refuse services to a client for the health, safety and protection of our artist & brand.

  • We are following guidelines to protect against the spread of COVID-19. Sanitizing and cleaning measures are in place for the safety of our clients. Our artist is fully vaccinated and will wear a mask during the entire session.

    • In-studio makeup collection & traveling makeup kit are sanitized and disinfected after each use.

    • All makeup brushes are washed, sanitized and disinfected after each use.

    • Disposable applicators are used on every client and thrown away afterwards.

    • Hands will be washed prior to service begins. Along with an application of hand sanitizer.

    • The makeup station, table and chair will be cleaned, disinfected before each client.
